Japonisme
Tove Jansson writes in the summer book about what makes gathering peculiar, because you see nothing but what you're looking for. If you're picking raspberries, you see only what's red, and if you're looking for bones you see only the white. No matter where you go, the only thing you see is bones.
As for me, Japan had begun to look like an unacknowledged home from afar, no matter where I was or what i was doing, i was see everything that made me think of Japan.
