Anthropologist
and artist.
Nandita is an artist who loves using words as art supplies. She has worked as a farmer, designer, architect, anthropologist, waiter, librarian, mason, and found that they are very much alike.

Through her poems she documents the transient nature of the self, so that we see compartments and not contradiction.
Having studied architecture and anthropology, her work explores the infraordinary of everyday life and the idiogenic nature of the self.

Her drawings can be seen as visual letters where the skin is seen as a dictionary and a poem, either half-remembered or half-wise. She wants her words and art to be seen as companions.

She calls herself a local of New Delhi, Auroville and London. she likes to think that in previous life, she was a letter carrier.
